More than 90000 people, over than 40 inndependent international research projects, two light but giant installations, a terrace campsite, over 4000 square metres of exhibition space, five design residencies and a music festival. This is what We Will Design — The Convivial Laboratory was all about.
From 15 to 21 April, 2024 BASE has opened its doors to a temporary community of designers, architects, artists to reflect on the most innovative practices of coexistence.

The Camp
Live from the terrace of BASE from 12 to 23 April, designers have lived a collective experiment investigating different forms of living. More than ten days to live together and exchange practices based on being together, from baking to the tea ceremony to live radio broadcasts by Elevator Radio.

Talamo: the installation by Lemonot at BASE
A performative and habitable sculpture. A giant light bed, which became a room without delimiting a volume. A soft, fluid landscape that took shape thanks to its constant movement between floor and ceiling, shaped by the force of gravity and the interactions with the most disparate bodies.
