"The Sign of Carefreeness" celebrates the art of Massimiliano Aurelio, an illustrator who captured lightness and joy in powerful images. A long-time resident of BASE Milano’s Project House, Aurelio passed away in spring 2024.

The exhibition highlights his career, from portraits of cultural icons to projects for international outlets like Monocle, Rolling Stone, and The Guardian. It showcases his extraordinary talent in transforming color and shapes into emotions.

Massimiliano Aurelio was a talented Italian illustrator and creative known for capturing carefreeness and joy in his work. A collaborator for prestigious outlets like Monocle, Rolling Stone, and The Guardian, he made a significant mark in contemporary illustration.
