to join the next edition of Milano Design Week @ BASE: We Will Design 2026 — HELLO, DARKNESS
WHAT WE MEAN FOR TEMPORARY HOME
During Milan Design Week @ BASE, 5 rooms of casaBASE — our on-site hostel — become spaces to live, experiment, and exhibit.
Each selected designer will transform one room into their own research environment, a space where they will also showcase their work live and meet the public.

Darkness as a beginning.
A place of pressure, imagination, and new possibilities.
Hello, Darkness’ is the curatorial framework guiding this year’s edition of We Will Design.
We invite applicants to consider how their project resonates with this theme.
Projects that apply should meaningfully connect with this framework and respond to its questions,
atmospheres, or trajectories.
In case…you don’t meet the requirements for this call:
you can still apply to Design Week 2026 at BASE.
