Manuel Cirauqui x EINA's programme einaidea –– Ecosystem Sampler (Sporal Properties)

Ecosystem Sampler (Sporal Properties) is a capsule exhibition curated by Manuel Cirauqui x einaidea. Presented as a spatial mixtape or a curatorial design mashup, Ecosystem Sampler (Sporal Properties) offers an itinerary of recent projects and prototypes around critical sustainability and post-traumatic imaginaries emerging from the ecosystem of Barcelona-based research platform einaidea.

Featured works navigate the speculative-performative design axis, inviting collaborations from the unexpected and the animal and calling upon microbial, mineral, ancestral and residual co-actants. Thus it works as a gathering of fungi-driven graphic templates, rewilding scripts, damaged craft, infrastructural remediation, mutating popular lore, and reverse functionalism, where every piece seeks to attain the contaminating qualities of a single spore.

With works by Ignasi Ayats, Fravià Boleda, Martí Crisol Rodríguez, Ana Habash, Roger Monfort and Júlia López, Tornen les esquelles, Martí Crisol, Irene Terrón, Anna Vega, and Leonela Vanessa Zapata Chaucca.

Fundació Eina‘s research and cultural programming platform, einaidea was founded in 2019 in Barcelona with the aim of altering the normalised practices of art and design. einaidea approaches these practices as a generative and common ground, through whose combinatory potential it aims to bring out the profiles that will define creation in our immediate future: radical singularities, choral and interdependent practices, alterities that einaidea’s activity insists on cultivating and promoting through new formats and methodologies.
