Rooy Charlie Lana in residency at BASE

What if fragility and sexual arousal are not such distant concepts in the experience of pornography?

“Nei porno non piove” is an investigation into the experience of contemporary online pornography: a dimension at once melancholic and poetic, solitary and protected, an exploration of its anti-relational dimension through the use of a fluid, a symbol of rain but also of all bodily fluids related to sexual desire. Endowed with a life of its own, the fluid subjugates and guides bodies, determining their gestures and movements, deflecting their directions, making pleasure concrete: a dripping that becomes solid matter and crystallizes the monstrous, inappropriate, vulnerable aspects of pornographic desire.
