In spring 2026, they will spend a residency period in BASE to focus on their next work.
They will return in June for a second residency period, during which they will engage with the journey of the young people from Not A Real Job.
BIO
Calderoni / Caleo is an artistic duo active since 2012, born out of Teatro Valle Occupato, working at the intersection of performing arts, critical theory, and transfeminist practices. Silvia Calderoni trained with the Teatro della Valdoca company and has been part of Motus since 2006, while Ilenia Caleo works on feminist epistemologies and experimental practices in the performing arts.
They have created choral projects such as KISS (2019) and the nomadic project SO IT IS, and participated in the project Fluō (2021) with the performative action thefutureisNOW?. In 2023, they premiered The Present Is Not Enough in Hamburg, later presented at BASE in 2023 during the FAROUT festival.
Since 2025, they have been associate artists at BASE.
