Starting from 2025, the IN SITU network will launch PLATFORM, a four-year programme to identify and support 200 emerging artists. It proposes an innovative and efficient support
programme to develop artistic creations at the European level in public spaces and non-conventional venues.
IN SITU is the European platform for artistic creation in public space. It takes the form of an international consortium of 20+ programmers that, for over 20 years, has been supporting more than 300 artists working outside conventional venues, in urban, periurban, suburban, extra-urban, and natural contexts. IN SITU is led by Lieux Publics, National Center for Art in Public Space and European production hub, located in the Cité des arts de la rue in Marseille, France.
The aim is to support the first steps of a creative project and provide artists with opportunities to meet and subsequently produce their work within Europe. They will have access to:
Online content to learn about artistic production related to art in public space
Peer-to-peer exchange with experienced IN SITU artists
An immersive lab with networking opportunities
This call is for projects that aim to be presented to an audience around mid-2026. This time frame is an indication of the level of development of the projects the call wants to
identify.
