On the occasion of Salone del Mobile 2026, HeFlies presents at BASE Milano a project that redefines the concept of seating through design, lightness, and experimentation.
HeFlies is an innovative startup in the field of interior design, combining aesthetics and functionality in an unconventional object: a pouf that is, quite literally, a rectangular helium-filled balloon. When not in use, it floats in the air, anchored to the ground by a transparent thread, creating a striking suspended effect. Balancing between furniture and installation, HeFlies transforms space into a dynamic and interactive experience. The object does not simply occupy a room, but activates it, introducing a sense of lightness and wonder.
Designed for contemporary interiors and creative environments, the project explores new possibilities in design, where form and function meet in unexpected ways. HeFlies proposes a vision in which objects are not just aesthetic elements, but devices that interact with space and with those who inhabit it.

It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.
