Moderated by Jordan Anderson, this panel explores the intersections of culture, memory, and displacement.

Moderated by Jordan Anderson, a creative director and journalist with deep expertise in exploring race, gender, identity, and cultural ethics, this panel delves into the rich narratives of diaspora and representation.

Featuring artists from The Tree of Life: A Love Letter to Nature and Latin America Panorama, the discussion unpacks the layered complexities of migration, identity, and cultural belonging.

The session will begin with The Story Behind the Image, where each artist—Laura Gauch, Sergio Pontier, Vilerx Perez, Ayomide Tejuoso, Fidelio Faustino, Ramona Wang, Carolina Arantes, Félix Márquez and Chris Perez—will present their work on stage, sharing personal stories and creative processes as their images are projected on a large screen.

Following the individual presentations, the panelists will join a group discussion to explore the intersections of culture, memory, and displacement. Their works traverse themes such as Afro-descendant identities in Mexico, diasporic reflections in fashion, and the complex interplay between personal and collective histories. Guided by Anderson’s insights, the conversation will highlight how visuals can challenge stereotypes, celebrate diversity, and reframe narratives, fostering understanding across borders.
