La mia linea. — Sara Stefanini

The lifeline is a prophecy: when someone reads your palm, you remain there watching and listening to what destiny has in store for you.

Some people read it, others simply endure it. This image proposes a third possibility: drawing it for yourself, pencil in hand, with the same focused calm of someone who knows that the future is something to be built. The invisible playground begins here, in the palm of a hand, in a gesture that is at once an act of care and a declaration of intent.

Sara Stefanini is a Swiss illustrator living and working in Milan. She creates illustrations for Italian and international magazines and publishing houses, and also works in graphic design and art direction. She was selected for the international competition Ilustrarte 2016, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair Illustration Exhibition 2020, SILA 2024 and 2025, SOI 67 in 2025, and 3×3 Magazine in 2025. Her book Piccolo manuale di navigazione was included in the IBBY Honour List 2024. She believes that every story is a love story.
