RAD - Alessandro Ramundo Design — FOMO

Immersive installation at BASE Milano during Milan Design Week exploring perception, presence, and collective imagination between physical and digital realms.

by BASE Milano

FOMO arrives at BASE Milano during Milan Design Week as an experience unfolding somewhere between presence and perception.

Visitors are invited to step across a subtle threshold where familiar coordinates between digital and real begin to shift. What first appears as a moment to share gradually becomes something more reflective. A dance on the floor of individual expectation and collective imagination. The boundaries between observer and observed begin to blur. Within this shifting field, presence itself becomes part of the reflection. What unfolds is less an object to observe than a moment held in between, almost like opening a small box of shared imagination, where expectations, images and projections quietly accumulate before revealing what they contain.
Some spaces are meant to be observed. Others must be entered. FOMO will be open to the public only from the 24 to the 26 of April, before FOMO will be open only by invitation.

We Will Design 2026 — HELLO, DARKNESS embraces design as a tool for subverting hierarchies and weaving together ecologies and technologies to imagine the cities and societies of the future.
It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.

So... is this getting serious?
