Re-c(O)unting is an artistic-scientific research questioning the production of knowledge. It investigates the colonial history between Europe and Latin America and links it to the colonial approach medicine has had on female-assigned bodies. Through an experimental documentary, the project attempts to decolonize and depatriarchalize the single-lens way in which science has been produced, while self-exploring the body as an act of reclaiming.

It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.
