Sabrina Mukarker, photographer from Bethlehem and 2023 Artist of the Year for Dar Al Majus, portrays Palestine under occupation through bodies, silences, and often-invisibilized forms of resistance. Her photography is both an act of denunciation and care — a transfeminist language that breaks dominant narratives and imagines liberation as a radical gesture. Joining her is Alba Nablusi, Palestinian journalist, museum educator, and founder of Collettivo Zaituna, a collective focused on cultural transmission and diasporic storytelling. Moderated by Micol Meghnagi, sociologist (University of Bologna).
On display: photographs by Mukarker and Milan-based photographer Alessandro Levati, who has spent extended periods conducting research in Palestine.
The evening closes with a DJ set by Lucretio (The Analogue Cops / Collettivo Zaituna).
