An open and participatory dialogue to reflect together on the social value of the body and its ability to shift from an object of oppression to a powerful tool of emancipation and collective transformation.
Together, we will compose the “Manifesto del corpo libero” which will become part of the upcoming book Bodies in Revolt, curated by WeWorld: a collective investigation into the female body—as a site of patriarchal control, a symbol of resistance, and a tool for transformation. The book will be released in the second half of October during the WeWorld Festival in Bologna and will include exclusive data from a new Ipsos–WeWorld survey, shedding light on the perceptions and marginalizations faced by women’s bodies in contemporary society. As a preview, key data from the research will be presented at the WeWorld Festival in Milan.
Participants: Chiara Gregori, Lara Lago, Azzurra Rinaldi, Alessandra Vescio, Mara Heidempergher, Martina Albini
The talk will be led by Mara Heidempergher, operator at Spazio Donna WeWorld, and Martina Albini, National Advocacy Coordinator and Head of the WeWorld Research Center.
Chiacchierata femminista is a WeWorld format inspired by the practices of dialogue and debate that have shaped the history of feminist movements. Its goal is to foster collective reflection within a safe space—open, inclusive, and nonjudgmental—on topics ranging from women’s empowerment to the deconstruction of gender stereotypes, and from the analysis of violence against women to its media representations.
