Between narrative writing and critical reflection, the text moves through politics, science fiction, philosophy and questions of gender in a fragmented and visionary language that resists all classification.
The performance transforms this writing into voice and body, questioning the condition of the contemporary artist and the experience of living and creating in a foreign country, where identity, belonging and language are continuously redefined.
Between confession, invective and imagination, IO VOMITO YUAN reflects on the contradictions of the art system and its institutions, calling into question the mechanisms that produce visibility, exclusion and power.
Motus YO VOMITO YUAN
IO VOMITO YUAN is born from the book "YO VOMITO YUE YUAN" written by Yuan as a Master's thesis.
Bio
Motus was founded in 1991 as a nomadic and independent company by Enrico Casagrande and Daniela Nicolò. Their work interweaves art and civil engagement, addressing border themes such as identity, gender and posthumanism. Among their awards: four Premio UBU and the Premio della Critica. Yuan Hu (Hangzhou, China, 1998) is a performer and artist. Their research aims to create a new performative language capable of crossing cultural, aesthetic and linguistic borders through voice, body, sound and relation.
