Transitional States of Perpetual Continuity examines how invisible human labour sustains contemporary automation systems. Rooted in fieldwork conducted at a data labeling centre, the project observes how people become transitional agents within technical infrastructures. Through moving images and an embodied installation, the work traces how processes of care, waiting, and instruction enable machines to learn, while human lives remain suspended in continuous states of transition. The project reflects on automation not as a technological endpoint, but as an ongoing condition shaped by human time, labour, and endurance.

We Will Design 2026 — HELLO, DARKNESS embraces design as a tool for subverting hierarchies and weaving together ecologies and technologies to imagine the cities and societies of the future.
It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.
