STUDIO LLOTTA (Lorenzo Lanzoni, Tommaso Tresso) — Nine Frames From Collapse

Speculative furniture project redefining domestic space in conditions of instability, combining modular design and industrial materials.

by BASE Milano

Nine Frames From Collapse is a speculative furniture project that reimagines domestic space under conditions of instability, ecological pressure, and social uncertainty, framing furniture as a form of emergency infrastructure rather than static décor. Through modular, reconfigurable objects and exposed industrial materials paired with fragile secondary elements, the project creates intimate zones of reflection and change.

We Will Design 2026 — HELLO, DARKNESS embraces design as a tool for subverting hierarchies and weaving together ecologies and technologies to imagine the cities and societies of the future.
It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.

So... is this getting serious?
