Soukaina Abrour, born in Morocco and raised in Italy, lives and works in Milan. Her artistic practice is transdisciplinary, ranging from videomaking, sculpture and other expressions to her work as a waitress. She explores themes related to the construction of identity, loss of meaning, incommunicability and their connection to personal and collective transformations. She brought to BASE the research on her work ‘Mra7ba’, which is inspired by Al-Halqa, an Arabic narrative form, hypothesising its end and playing with the audience’s expectations through video and performance.
