Kairos Futura — The Wild Future Lab

Kairos Futura is a futurist art collective whose work explores the intersection of art, ecological resilience, the creation of imaginary worlds and speculative future scenarios.

Kairos Futura

Founded by Abdul Rop, Ajax Axe, and Lincoln Mwangi, the collective combines an imaginative, futuristic vision with critical design methodologies to address environmental and social challenges in East Africa. Their previous projects have been exhibited at Milan Design Week, Nairobi Design Week, the United Nations headquarters and Ars Electronica.

We Will Design 2026: HELLO, DARKNESS embraces design as a tool for subverting hierarchies and weaving together ecologies and technologies to imagine the cities and societies of the future.
It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.

Join Us In The Dark.
From 20th to 26th April.
