From the Japanese underground to the dancefloor: living, pulsating techno in constant transformation

Wata Igarashi is a Japanese producer and DJ whose music emerges from the intersection of diverse cultural and stylistic influences, reflecting a musical journey that spans from punk to experimental jazz to techno. After starting out as a punk guitarist in Madrid, he shifted his focus to improvised music and jazz in Tokyo, eventually evolving toward avant-garde techno production. Igarashi describes his sound as a sonic journey—built through a fusion of punk energy, free jazz fluidity, and deep techno grooves.

Bio

This event is part of TUTTA BASE ↗: from sunset on Friday, June 6 to sunrise on Sunday, June 8, BASE opens up and transforms into a living, porous map — music everywhere, bodies in motion, spaces to gather, dim lights, loud sounds, and unexpected encounters.
Care, art, transformation: at TUTTA BASE you’ll find DJ sets, performances, concerts, screenings, workshops, dance and yoga practices. You’ll dance, sing, eat, sleep, watch the sunrise to live music, or simply soak up the sun on a rooftop terrace in Milan. 36 sleepless hours filled with music, performance, rituals, connection, and beauty — a vibrant lineup curated together with Le Cannibale.

So... is this getting serious?
