Working with the reactions of dust to sound waves, the artists have created a speaker designed to explore the interaction between nature and the unnatural. Through an interface resembling a moving zen garden—shaped solely by sound—visitors are invited to immerse themselves in a visual experience of their own subconscious. The shifting patterns that emerge on the installation’s surface become projections of inner visions, allowing users to interpret and influence the evolving landscape of the piece.
TUTTA BASE FEAR OF THE DARK / GARDEN –– Cult of Magic

FEAR OF THE DARK / garden is a sound installation by Francesco Sacco and Luca Pasquino
Cult of Magic is a research collective working across performance, music, and contemporary dance, founded in Milan in 2017 by composer Francesco Sacco and choreographers/dancers Samira Cogliandro and Giada Vailati. The core team currently includes the three founding members along with Luca Pasquino, a composer, art director, and product designer. The collective’s work focuses on creating contemporary dance performances and shows, often in collaboration with architecture and design studios, as well as with museums and cultural institutions such as Triennale Milano, Museo Novecento Firenze, Palazzo Te, and La Biennale di Venezia.
This event is part of TUTTA BASE ↗: from sunset on Friday, June 6 to sunrise on Sunday, June 8, BASE opens up and transforms into a living, porous map — music everywhere, bodies in motion, spaces to gather, dim lights, loud sounds, and unexpected encounters.
Care, art, transformation: at TUTTA BASE you’ll find DJ sets, performances, concerts, screenings, workshops, dance and yoga practices. You’ll dance, sing, eat, sleep, watch the sunrise to live music, or simply soak up the sun on a rooftop terrace in Milan. 36 sleepless hours filled with music, performance, rituals, connection, and beauty — a vibrant lineup curated together with Le Cannibale.
