gruppo nanou & OvO Canto Primo

FAROUT

A body in transformation, a sound that shakes. Dance and music collide in a visionary, radical work: a journey through imagination, science fiction, and physical intensity, where the languages of gruppo nanou and OvO merge into a single breath.

Ten years after Sport, gruppo nanou returns to pure choreography, intertwining its own language with the extreme and visionary sound universe of the band OvO.

Born on the occasion of the Dante celebrations and supported by Transmissions Festival, Ravenna viso-in-aria, and Fèsta, Canto Primo is the first chapter of a collaboration that brings together two powerful, complementary imaginaries. On stage, Rhuena Bracci embodies a body in constant transformation: a body that eludes the center, that bends and fractures, that waits for new forms to emerge.

The radical sound of OvO pushes the boundaries of perception, moving between reality and science fiction, in a visual and physical landscape exploding with infernal and dreamlike visions. Choreography and music intertwine until the borders between the two practices dissolve, amplifying the imaginative power of both artistic worlds.

Bio

gruppo nanou was founded in Ravenna in 2004 by Marco Valerio Amico, Rhuena Bracci, and Roberto Rettura. The company focuses its research on the body understood as a sounding body, a body/object, a body/light: elements that coexist on the same level, transforming stage presence into a sign among signs. Their creations have appeared on international stages and festivals such as Fabbrica Europa, Santarcangelo Festival, Drodesera, Les Brigittines (Belgium), Unidram (Germany), Nu Dance Fest (Slovakia), and La MaMa ETC (USA).

OvO is a duo born in 2000 from the encounter between Stefania Pedretti (also known as ?Alos, formerly of Allun) and Bruno Dorella (formerly Wolfango, now also active in Bachi Da Pietra, Ronin, Sigillum S, GDG Modern Trio, and Tiresia). Considered among the most tireless forces in the international noise rock scene, they have released albums with labels such as Load, Blossoming Noise, Supernatural Cat, Dio Drone, and Artoffact. Their work has taken them to some of the world’s most important experimental festivals—from FIMAV in Canada to Tomorrow Festival in China, to Supersonic in Birmingham—and into collaborations with cinema, theatre, and dance, creating soundtracks for Nosferatu, Frankenstein, Inferno, and works with Teatro Lenz and gruppo nanou.
