After studying jazz drumming and musical synthesis at Berklee College of Music, Ela Minus continued to test, assemble, and design synthesizers.

Her love for synths evolved into the foundation of her musical production. Her critically acclaimed debut album, acts of rebellion, released by Domino Records, became one of the defining records of the pandemic and a staple on BBC Radio 6’s A List. The album caught the attention of artists such as Four Tet and Caribou, the latter inviting her to support his North American tour. Ela has delivered powerful live performances at major festivals including Coachella, Primavera Sound, and Estéreo Picnic. In 2022, she released the EP ♡ in collaboration with DJ Python, which earned year-end praise from outlets like Pitchfork, The Guardian, Resident Advisor, and Crack. She has recently performed for fashion houses including Chanel, Miu Miu, and Prada, and completed her BBC Radio 1 Residency show.
