Floating Lands imagines an evacuation from the volcanic island of Nisyros, where workers escape on pumice “floating islands” quarried from nearby Yali. Projected above a pond, the film follows people and stones entering a symbiotic journey shaped by myth, migration, and material memory. Drawing on geological, geopolitical, economic, and historical research, the installation moves across timescales from deep time to late industrialisation. Through this layered fiction, it reflects on human–mineral interdependence and asks what forms of care and resilience emerge when safety lies not in solidity, but in drift.

We Will Design 2026 — HELLO, DARKNESS embraces design as a tool for subverting hierarchies and weaving together ecologies and technologies to imagine the cities and societies of the future.
It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.

So... is this getting serious?
