Avcu Birce — Hidden Hedonism

System design project challenging consumption-driven pleasure, using creative destruction to regenerate nature and reframe femininity.

by BASE Milano

Hidden Hedonism is a system design rooted in underground practices, proposing creative destruction as a regenerative act.
It challenges dominant production and pleasure systems by designing cycles that return materials, value, and meaning back to nature. Rejecting consumption-driven hedonism, the project reframes pleasure as a transformative and political force. By aligning femininity with Mother Nature, it reveals both as nurturing yet rebellious agents of change.
Emerging from the underground, the project designs new forms of coexistence through regeneration, resistance, and transformation.

We Will Design 2026 — HELLO, DARKNESS embraces design as a tool for subverting hierarchies and weaving together ecologies and technologies to imagine the cities and societies of the future.
It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.

So... is this getting serious?
