Telare la Materia provides a service for textile waste collection centers, social cooperatives, fashion brands, and fabric manufacturers, enabling them to reuse their waste locally by regenerating it into textile fiber. This process creates a new secondary raw material used to develop three new products applicable across different markets, allowing the textile sector to connect with agriculture, construction, architecture, and furniture design—transforming high-cost waste into a profitable resource.
At We Will Design 2026, Telare la Materia presents the product collection Gli Straccivendoli, made from a new eco-sustainable building material with thermal and acoustic insulation properties, composed of recycled textile fibers combined with a geopolymer. This innovative product enables the textile sector to connect with the bio-construction market, architecture, and sustainable furniture design.

We Will Design 2026 — HELLO, DARKNESS embraces design as a tool for subverting hierarchies and weaving together ecologies and technologies to imagine the cities and societies of the future.
It is an invitation to recognize the abyss — political, ecological, aesthetic — we’re living in, not as a place of fear, but as a space of regeneration, resistance, and imagination. Darkness here is not absence, but a fertile condition that embraces invisible gestures, marginalized knowledge, and luminous forms of resistance.
