Ten years after the first staging of L’uomo che cammina (The Walking Man), Leonardo Delogu and Valerio Sirna of the DOM- collective recount live the trajectory of their artistic project and its transformation over time, through stories rooted in the territories and in the human and non-human communities they have encountered throughout these years.
Starting from the research and creative practices developed in the field, the conversation weaves together themes such as the relationship between reality and representation, landscape theatre and the call of the outdoors, as well as the gaze and the sensitive presence of bodies in public space.
Through the screening of three films, each approximately 25 minutes long, accompanied by excerpts from notes and theoretical reflections, the collective simultaneously constructs and deconstructs the attempt to create a taxonomic definition of its artistic work — a way of thinking about and practicing theatre — weaving together the story of a close encounter with reality.
The three films recount the evolution of the work and were produced by STRIAZ – Studio Azzurro Ricerca.
