Five neighborhoods, five visions, five projects that bridge architecture and performing arts: Performing Architecture is the citywide festival conceived by BASE and DOPO? for five districts of Milan.
The journey of Performing Architecture begins on Thursday, March 13, with a symposium bringing together curators, artists, and representatives from the five participating neighborhoods – Tortona, Barona, Stadera, Chiaravalle, and Corvetto. Through thematic panels, theoretical, practical, and technical issues related to the festival will be discussed, offering a first preview of the projects that will transform the southern part of Milan in April.
The aesthetic language of vandalism, the transformation of space through sound, architecture as a temporary refuge, and collective action as a form of design: these and more are the investigations Performing Architecture will explore from April 3 to 13.
