“In 2020 I became a father for the second time, and after living in New York for 8 years, we returned to Milan, the city where I had already lived until 2010. In 2010 I was single, studying mechanical engineering and spending nights dreaming of becoming an artist. It seemed to me that one cycle of my life had ended and another was beginning. My book, Almanac of Forgotten Memories, is about these changes.”
Federico Possati‘s book was born out of the need to give value and create coherence to a haunting catalog of images representing small treasures found in everyday life. Using the structure of an unconventional diary, photos and lines of text work together creating a narrative that unfolds in its 365 pages (approximately).
