Collettivo Amigdala KIN

FAROUT

A circle of voices resisting together

KIN is a performance in the form of an assembly, born from an urgent question: how do women resist together today?

Ten women sit in a circle and experiment with taking the floor through singing, voice, and the simple gesture of raising a hand. At the center, ever-changing scores ignite conversations and improvisations, turning the stage into a concert that is never the same twice.

The audience, welcomed inside the circle, is immersed in a secret language of choruses, fragments, and vibrations. A temporary community where each woman’s voice weaves into the others, generating a sonic and political fabric that is constantly renewed.

Bio

Amigdala is an art collective based in Modena, working in contemporary and performing arts with a strong focus on urban interventions and processes of civic innovation. Its productions are multidisciplinary, rooted in site- and community-specific practices, always in dialogue with places and the people inhabiting them.

The collective defines itself as feminist and intersectional, drawing inspiration from the thought of bell hooks and other contemporary authors. It works through horizontal, non-coercive governance practices to build inclusive and plural models of collaboration.

Amigdala’s creations take the form of performances, public art projects, installations, and soundscapes, presented in Italy and abroad in festivals, institutions, and cultural spaces.
