From April 7 to 13, BASE opens its doors to a temporary community of designers, architects, and artists to weave new forms of kinship.
The projects of Design Week 2025 rethink interpersonal relationships beyond traditional ties, exploring new ways of making kin—bonds and chosen families—built on conscious choices and shared affinities, through:

The goal is to foster intergenerational and intersectional alliances that challenge hierarchies and oppression, promoting creative acts of resistance. Moving beyond the limits of biological kinship, the focus is on care, mutual recognition, and the value of difference, creating spaces for chosen bonds and co-creation.
