Michele Rizzo is a choreographer and performer who lives and works between Amsterdam and Milan. He teaches at the School for New Dance Development in Amsterdam and completed studies in visual arts at the Sandberg Instituut. Rizzo explores how dance can facilitate states of flux, totality and transcendence, acknowledging the connection to para-religious practices. He brings moments of study, research and experimentation to BASE, in collaboration with Sara Leghissa and Annamaria Ajmone. Annamaria Ajmone is a dancer and choreographer, associate artist of Triennale Milano Teatro and awardee as best emerging contemporary performer at Danza&Danza. She explores the body as malleable matter capable of transforming spaces into places. Within the collective ‘Nobody’s Indiscipline’ she promotes the collective exchange of artistic practices, creating an inclusive environment that moves away from authorial and production conventions.
