Maddalena Fragnito is a militant researcher moving in and out of academia in the fields of cultural and media studies, critical social studies and theories of social reproduction and race. Among her various collaborative opportunities, she was at BASE in residence as part of the I DO NOT HAVE A DREAM JOB, I DON’T DREAM OF LABOUR programme that questioned the ideal of the ‘dream job’ by exploring new visions of sustainable work and social justice. She brings to BASE the research work ‘Più tempo per vivere’ (More time to live) and, later, in collaboration with Valeria Graziano, the installation ‘Radio Gabinetto – studio #1’, a song narrative that interweaves the stories of the Lebole factory workers (years in which the so-called ‘scientific organisation of work’ intensified) with the experiences of platform workers in the digital economy.
