Francesca Tambussi, designer and researcher, explores the Commons as a contemporary urban practice, with a queer and glocal approach. After a degree in Communication Sciences and ten years as a graphic designer and art director, she completed a master’s degree in Social Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Her research combines speculation and participatory realisation, imagining shared and accessible urban spaces. At BASE she worked on and then presented the ‘Hyperburgers’ project, an innovative supermarket run by consumers, where goods and services are exchanged without the use of money, experimenting with new models of circular economy.
