Indeed, the urban context attracts more and more people, despite the fact that the city is experiencing a period of deep crisis, gathering an increasing number of individuals, multiplying their relationships, movements and consumption. From this point of view, a growing city comes into conflict with the desire to preserve a livable environment.This reflection will be at the heart of the 2024 edition of Cavalcavia, a four-act festival to rethink our relationship with the body, the city, the Planet and History.

A team of “adapters” travels the planet in search of innovative strategies for reorganizing human life on Earth, compiling a step-by-step Adaptation Manual. Their protocol is fascinating: participants go through several stages of preparation to enter a time accelerator. Inside, they will live decades into the future, bringing their collective imagination into play to deal with events that will affect their community. A radio broadcast will be their only contact with the outside world, while mysterious cave paintings will document their history live. What adaptation strategies will they invent?
