PhotoVogue Festival<\/strong>, now in its eighth edition<\/strong>, comes to BASE from 16 to 19 November 2023. This year\u2019s theme is “What makes us human?<\/strong>“: an investigation of the complex relationship between human and technology<\/strong>, offering an in-depth look at the dynamics that define the human being in the contemporary world.<\/p>\n

At a time when digital interactions seem to prevail over human connections, it becomes crucial to question what distinguishes us as human beings and how this distinction is influenced by technological innovations. Artists, photographers and attendees will be invited to explore this complex dynamic through exhibitions and talks.<\/p>\n

Works by emerging and established photographers will be selected and exhibited <\/strong>to offer a broad and diverse perspective on the relationship between man and technology exploring topics such as digital device dependency, artificial intelligence, the impact of social networks on our identity, and increasing automation in modern society.<\/p>\n

In parallel to the exhibitions, the festival will host talks<\/strong> whose topics will range from the ethics of artificial intelligence to the social implication of automation, through the role of social networks in the construction of human identity. These sessions will provide a platform for in-depth discussion, allowing participants to explore the cultural, social and ethical implications of technological progress.<\/p>\n
