Little Fun Palace visits The Glitch Camp<\/em>, a different kind of space and time to explore and approach design. A shared place for the design community (and beyond) to reflect on the concept of time, surrounded by a stimulating program of activities exploring the relationship between design and leisure<\/strong>.<\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

A caravan. A small, portable pavilion. A bar. A fleeting gathering place. An homage to the Fun Palace<\/strong>, the legendary project by architect Cedric Price<\/strong> and theater director Joan Littlewood<\/strong>, who in the 1960s envisioned a “university of the streets”\u2014a laboratory of fun.<\/p>\n

Little Fun Palace<\/strong> lands at The Glitch Camp’s<\/strong> Enrico Cappelli Sports Center<\/strong>\u2014powered by IED<\/strong>, an urban camping project where BASE<\/strong> is a cultural partner. IED<\/strong> and BASE<\/strong> curate a special program for Design Week 2025<\/strong>, and for the second year in a row, they present this experiment in cohabitation within the Enrico Cappelli Sports Center<\/strong> and on the BASE’s Terrace. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Little Fun Palace<\/strong> is a parasite project<\/strong>, presented alongside OHT’s<\/strong> performances but also existing independently, hosting encounters, dialogues, dances, and every possible form of spontaneity.<\/p>\n

A project that highlights what happens after the cultural offering\u2014the moment when ideas, words, and people\u2019s reactions need space to unfold. Little Fun Palace<\/strong> fills a contemporary void by reviving the fundamental role of public spaces: to be an open forum for spontaneous encounters.<\/p>\n

Little Fun Palace<\/strong> brings together artists, philosophers, economists, scientists, engineers, architects, sociologists, writers, meteorologists, and more\u2014who, on each occasion, engage in discussions on timely and urgent themes, defined in collaboration with an advisory team<\/strong> and the hosting institution<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With a free, independent, and collaborative<\/strong> spirit, Little Fun Palace<\/strong> explores reality across its various fields, conducting a seriously spontaneous investigation<\/strong> that frees intelligence from the clouds of intellectualism.<\/p>\n

This event is part of Performing Architecture<\/strong> \u2197<\/span><\/a>, a roaming festival<\/strong> that, from April 3 to 13<\/strong>, will weave through five neighborhoods in South Milan<\/strong>, tracing a path between architecture and performing arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Five neighborhoods, five visions, a laboratory of experimentation<\/strong> where architecture becomes body, sound, ritual, and shelter<\/strong>. A collective thought experiment<\/strong> exploring new ways of inhabiting the city, turning spaces into places of connection, action, and listening.<\/p>\n

Performing Architecture is a project born from the collaboration between BASE Milano<\/strong> and DOPO?<\/strong> and is among the winning projects of the Festival Architettura<\/strong>, promoted by the Ministry of Culture’s General Directorate for Contemporary Creativity<\/strong> to support, promote and enhance contemporary Italian architecture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
