Beginning with Giorgia Basch’s work Al cerchio delle tue mani, a book dedicated to the photographic production of author Bibi Tomasi, the panel will offer a space for shared reflection on the role of the artist’s book understood in its broadest sense as a publishing device that reworks and amplifies the production of an artist. In parallel, Michela Palermo will bring the contribution of Whereupon and Whereupon, Turmoil respectively a photo book and a fanzine, developed from the archival materials of Allen Frame, an American photographer, writer and theater director, documenting the New York art scene of the 1980s, published by Palermo Publishing.
\nThe ‘meeting will explore how artists’ books can reinterpret archival materials, transforming them into visual narratives that cross eras and contexts.<\/p>\n
