{"id":32923,"date":"2025-09-02T17:25:31","date_gmt":"2025-09-02T15:25:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/base.milano.it\/?p=32923"},"modified":"2025-09-02T17:25:36","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T15:25:36","slug":"echoes-severino-alfonso-loukia-tsafoulia-con-up2metric","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/base.milano.it\/en\/echoes-severino-alfonso-loukia-tsafoulia-con-up2metric\/","title":{"rendered":"Echoes \u2013 Severino Alfonso &amp; Loukia Tsafoulia (with up2metric)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-f71e3c210ab28bbd278bcb60ed8910f1\" style=\"color:#303030;font-size:28px;letter-spacing:-0.8px\">How does our perception and experience of space change when our senses respond differently to stimuli? <em>Echoes<\/em> is an interactive journey into neurodiverse spatial perception.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:70px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:16px\"><em>Echoes<\/em>, an interactive installation by Severino Alfonso and Loukia Tsafoulia in collaboration with up2metric, invites us to explore the sensory experiences of autistic individuals, for whom the physical environment can be both an obstacle and a source of autonomy and well-being.<br><br>The structure, built from wood and cork and embedded with experimental sensors, unfolds across two interconnected environments. \u201cOutside: a collective experience\u201d welcomes visitors into a shared space where light pulses and gradually shifts in intensity and color, creating a dynamic visual landscape. \u201cInside: multiples of one\u201d offers a more intimate retreat: here, light and sound adapt in real time to the visitor\u2019s movements and breathing rhythms, enabling a form of self-regulation and personal retreat.<br><br>Alongside the installation, the documentary VOICES: Experiences and Expressions addresses autism as an active agent of urban sound experience, approached from an intersectional and experimental perspective.<br><br>Echoes is more than an immersive artwork: it is an invitation to empathy.
