We envisioned a place of cultural encounters and exchanges, (…) a hive of “new connections”: between great pianists and simple students, professionals and amateurs, the elderly and the very young, from Europe and beyond. This place exists and it is possible. The connections are real bonds.
A rehearsal room in a former factory. A place where you can play freely, without bothering the neighbours, in a vibrant environment surrounded by a curious audience.
BASE supports the spread of the arts with PianoLink, a young, innovative Milanese musical organisation, inspired by passion and sound, and created to look beyond categorisation and make top-level musical training available to every enthusiast, student or aspiring musician, opening up the stage to music from professionals, amateurs, and self-taught players of all ages. An association made up of musicians, teachers, pupils, professionals, amateurs, enthusiasts and spectators.
The spread-out rehearsal room is composed of a series of pianos dotted throughout the industrial spaces of the ex-Ansaldo complex, from the burò/project house, where the creative enterprises that surround BASE are set up, to the Lounge, our main hall.
