It seems important to me to try to find an answer to the questions: how can we live in the city differently on a daily basis ? How to give people the opportunity to meet and share collective experiences?
Rosalie Piras (1997) recently graduated from a Master’s degree at the School of Fine Arts in Dijon and a post-graduate degree at the Dijon Opera.
She is an artist in space and object design, working around the notion of social design. She is particularly interested in urban space, abandoned spaces and unused gardens. Her work questions alternative ways of inhabiting the city on a daily basis. She creates common spaces, ephemeral modules, conducive to meeting, social interactions related to the territory, its inhabitants, their desires and their needs. Her frugal interventions, often made of fabric and wood, pretexts for hospitality and regrouping, inviting new rituals while showing users the possibility of appropriating their environment, organizing themselves among themselves and taking advantage of the collective intelligence to try to reach an emancipatory well-being, both collective and individual.
